25 years ago, on September 11, 2001, while others were running away from the danger, first responders ran toward the unthinkable. Four hundred and twelve first responders gave their lives that day, leaving behind empty lockers, grieving families and a debt of gratitude we can never fully repay.
As a community bound by service, we hold their sacrifice close to our hearts. We honor who they were, carry the torch they left behind, and promise to keep their memory alive with every call we answer.
25 years later, on September 11, 2026, Tower 323 and crew reported to Mission BBQ in Owings Mills for a 9/11 25th Anniversary remembrance ceremony. PVFC was represented by Tom Barrett, Chad Hipsley, Christian Often, Brian Schumer, and Michael Schwartzberg, and stood along with volunteer firefighters from across the 5th Battalion, Baltimore County Police, and Maryland State Police.
We will never forget.
