New Squad 322

The new PVFC Squad 322 is almost here! The rig has been delivered to DPC Fire Equipment, and final work such as equipment mounting, lettering, etc. will soon be finished. PVFC hopes to have the new Squad at the firehouse in March, and put it in service in April after members complete training.

The Pikesville VFC Squad committee recently traveled to the Rosenbauer factory in Wyoming, Minnesota for a final inspection on the new Squad 322, a 2010 Rosenbauer Gladiator ELFD (http://www.dpcemergency.com/news/pikesville_12910.pdf).

The new Squad is just about ready for its trip to the East Coast, where it will spend time at DPC before being sent for equipment mounting, lettering, etc.

The new squad will be delivered to PVFC in late fall / early winter. Members will then do extensive training and familarization before placing the new Squad in service, which is expected to happen in March.

PVFC's current Squad 322, a 1991 Freightliner/Saulsbury is currently for sale. Interested parties should contact the Captain at the firehouse.
